Drug Cartels in Mexico

The pictures of drug wars in mexico is something that s iimpacting it very much. He is trying to make a point about how many people are dying from this very rapidly. Things don't seem to get better and i think that if the people doing this should be cought for many people get shot, stabbed and all that. For drug dealers lives of people are being taken as a joke and the money they have is being used for drugs.

Ethics in fashion photography

1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully)

Her eye were widen, her neck was stretched, her hair was fixed, her lips were fixed, they changed the thickness of her neck and changed the color on her face.

2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not?
No, because they should be them self and not try to be another.

3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation?
Yes there is.

4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't?
Changes in hair and make up are okay, and body disfiguration isn't.

5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.
Fashion photography focuses more on models and fake beauty and photojournalism is more about the nature of people and the real world.

6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?
photography is picking reality and putting in on a piece of paper.

Negatives Evaluation

1. From looking at your negatives, how many of your photos do you think turned out well?
8 of my photos came out well.

2. How many of your photos appear like they will not turn out well? Why do you think these photos did not turn out (Ex: Over/under exposed, not focused, bad composition)?
3 of the pictures didn't come out well.
One did not have enough light and one had too much. And one of the pictures wasn't focused rite.

3. Select the negative image that you think will turn out the best when it is printed. Why do you think this photo will turn out well?
I took these picture because it represents a boy preparing for his science project.

4. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) do you think are present in your best negative? What evidence can you provide from the appearance of the negative to support your answer?
I chose the one of the boy pouring water into a container for the science project. I think that it is a good picture because it uses rule of thirds and lines and it has no mergers.

5. What advanced composition techniques (Ex: rule of thirds, leading lines) that you have learned in class are present in your favorite negative?
Rule of thirds and leading lines.

Repetition

Happy Halloween
(A pattern of lights forms a giant 275-foot jack-o-lantern on the side of WaMu Center in downtown Seattle)
In this picture the repetition of the buildings come together to show the happy face that is in the middle building.

Lighting the Way
(Darren Choy of Singapore carries the Youth Olympic torch at the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Youth Olympics held in Singapore's Marina Bay)
The repetition of the circles in the water lead up to the figure of a person holding up a torch in his hand.

Flipping Out
(Ducati rider Aleix Espargaro of Spain, left, loses control as he passes by crashed Honda rider Randy de Puniet of France, far right, during the Grand Prix of Germany in Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany)
There are 3 guys in the back are the repetition that lead the eye to the front motorcyclist who seems to be in the lead.

American Soldier slideshow and captions

The most powerful picture is the first one. It just shows that he is gonna sign up for it and the expression on his face is very serious.

I think that the most powerful pictures would be the ones where he is with his family and when he is saying bye to go back to Iraq. Their the strongest ones because they show him having fun and in others he is crying, so is his family and friends.

The images show him from before he leaves to after he comes back and everything that happens between.
